A Smarter Way to Track Your Progress at PFP

For years, fitness progress has often been measured by one simple number: the scale. While body weight can be useful information, it does not tell the complete story. At Pittsburgh Fitness Project, we believe members deserve better information. Beginning this September, we are integrating the InBody 270 body composition scanner into our coaching process to provide a clearer picture of your progress.

Why Body Composition Matters

Your body is constantly changing. You can gain muscle while losing fat. You can improve strength and performance without seeing dramatic changes on the scale. You can make progress that is not always visible in the mirror. The InBody 270 helps measure those changes.

Instead of only asking, "Did my weight change?" we can start asking better questions:

  • Did you build muscle?

  • Did your body composition improve?

  • Are you making progress toward your goals?

  • Is your current training plan working?

What Is the InBody 270?

The InBody 270 is a professional body composition analysis tool that provides detailed information about your body.

Your scan provides insights into:

  • Body composition

  • Muscle mass

  • Body fat percentage

  • Hydration levels

  • Muscle balance

  • Changes over time

This information gives both you and your coach valuable feedback when making decisions about training and nutrition.

Turning Data Into Better Coaching

The most important part of the InBody scan is not the numbers themselves. The value comes from using the information to make better decisions. Your coach can use your results to help answer questions like:

  • Should your training program change?

  • Are you building the right type of progress?

  • Do we need to adjust your goals?

  • Are your habits supporting your results?

The scan becomes another tool that helps your coach provide a more personalized experience.

Progress Is More Than Weight Loss

Many people start a fitness journey focused only on losing weight. But true progress can look different for everyone.

Progress might mean:

  • Building strength

  • Increasing muscle

  • Improving athletic performance

  • Moving without pain

  • Feeling more confident

  • Creating healthier habits

The InBody allows us to recognize more of those victories.

A New Level of Accountability

Beginning in September, InBody scans will become part of our updated assessment and progress tracking system. Members will complete their first scan during their Fitness Assessment and continue using scans during monthly check-ins and progress reviews. This allows us to compare results over time and make adjustments based on real information.

The Future of Coaching at PFP

The InBody 270 represents our continued commitment to providing a higher level of coaching. We are always looking for ways to improve, educate, and help members achieve better results. Fitness is a journey, and the best journeys are easier when you know where you are starting and how far you've come. Starting this September, PFP members will have another powerful tool to help them reach their goals. Better data. Better coaching. Better results.
