BLOG GRAPHIC: MY FAVORITE FALL BIKING SPOTS THIS 2025. Image of the front wheel of a bike in a park in the fall.

There’s something fundamentally refreshing to me about autumn, and it’s never rooted in a singular reason. Of course, I do love a nice brisk morning as I wake up with a hot beverage just as much as I want to celebrate not having the air conditioning running just so I can manage to sleep at night; I think it’s the sense of calm that creeps in with changing weather, getting to bundle in the security of a cozy blanket and still feeling the sun kiss your cheeks each afternoon.

It's that transition in the late morning that I enjoy most for hopping on my bike and filling my lungs with the still slightly cool air, feeling my body warm from both the sun’s hello and my legs settling into a comfortable rhythm.

My Favorite Route This Fall

A new spot that I recently popped up to is North Park, on the recommendation of some of the coaches and clients here at PFP.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself as I rode around the lake, along the mildly rolling path through patches of sun and tree cover, able to easily admire the remaining turning leaves, and feeling the sense of peace that overcomes me by being near a body of water.  My only two knocks on the ride are of my own doing: forgetting my cycling shoes so I was left to ride in my sneakers on clip-in pedals, and the unwavering stress that hit me about 2/3 into the first mile when I realized that I couldn’t remember if I’d locked my car. Beyond those two whoopsies, I absolutely plan to venture back up to the loop around the lake while there are still some leaves hanging around!
