Aging doesn’t mean slowing down; it means training smarter and possibly a bit differently than what you’re used to.

Our 60+ women’s class is designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay confident moving through your daily life and activities. This class isn’t about extreme workouts or aesthetics, but about building the qualities that support you now and for years to come: muscle mass, strength, bone density, and more.

The class focuses on mobility, power, speed, and strength training because these qualities decline with age, yet they help women remain independent, resilient, and capable as we age. We cannot prevent ourselves from aging, but we can control how quickly or slowly we allow ourselves to age.

Why This Class Is Different

Many fitness programs for older adults focus only on light movement or “being careful.” While safety matters, so does challenge. Without placing enough challenge on the muscles, joints, and bones, we will not be capable of changing and resisting the effects of aging.

This class is built on one belief: Your body is adaptable at any age—and it deserves to be trained with intention.

Every session is thoughtfully structured, coached, and scalable, so you’re challenged appropriately while feeling supported every step of the way.

The 3 Pillars of the Class

1. Mobility

Mobility is more than stretching. It’s about having the strength and control to move through your full range of motion. Better mobility means easier transitions—getting up from the floor, reaching overhead, walking confidently, and moving without fear.

In class, we work on:

  • Hip, shoulder, and spine mobility

  • Controlled joint movement

  • Improving posture and alignment

  • Reducing stiffness and everyday aches

2. Power & Speed

Power and speed naturally decline with age if they’re not trained—but they are trainable. We use safe and effective drills that focus on intent and effort, like jumping, sled pushes and pulls, med ball work, and kettlebell exercises. These drills keep the body fast, coordinated, and confident.

Why does this matter?

  • Quick reactions help prevent falls

  • Power makes daily tasks easier (stairs, carrying groceries, standing up)

  • Speed keeps your nervous system sharp and responsive, think, you can speed up and slow down easier and with more control

3. Strength

Strength training is one of the most powerful tools for healthy aging. You’ll use equipment like dumbbells, kettlebells, and bands, as well as bodyweight to practice functional movements that translate directly to real life. Everything is coached with proper form, progressions, and options for different ability levels.

In this class, we train strength to:

  • Maintain muscle and bone density

  • Support joint health

  • Improve balance and stability

  • Make everyday life feel easier

What You Can Expect

  • Small group, supportive environment

  • Clear coaching and demonstrations

  • Modifications always available

  • Progressions that meet you where you are

The Real Goal: Do Life Better for Longer

The ultimate goal isn’t just fitness—it’s freedom to continue living life how we like to live, without the fear of injury or like we “can’t” do something because of our physical abilities.

Freedom to:

  • Travel confidently

  • Play with grandchildren

  • Stay active in hobbies you love

  • Move through life without fear or hesitation

Strong, mobile, powerful women don’t just age well, they live with confidence in their physical abilities. If you’re ready to feel capable, energized, and supported in your training, this class was built for you. Join our next Golden Girls 6-week cohort beginning in April.
